Fair Schenanigans

Well the fair has come and gone. Now I normally don't attend the fair. I attended as a child, and I have those fond memories to fall back on. I have gone since and have always been bombarded with the outrageous parking, the inflated prices, and the long lines. This year was different. I decided to look at it through a different lens.

Multiple factors went into the changed perspective this year. First, I had some pretty cool people to go with, my partner and best friend. They are always a recipe for a good time, so it was hard to be annoyed during the night. The second factor was I came with a purpose, well actually two:

  1. Eat some food that I will regret the next day.
  2. Bring my camera and take some awesome photos.

After completing the first task by eating a donut burger, fried mac-and-cheese, and a delightful cheesecake-on-a-stick, I got to work on the second task.

I am proud of these photos, and I had a great time making them. I normally don't do street style photography, so it helped me practice a skill I don't normally practice, and it helped me become more confident photographing strangers, which I will cover more in another blog.

Overall, it was a great night with some great people, and I have some great photos to look back on to remember it by. I hope you all like them as much as I do!
